Mom's Memories

When I started a scrapbook business in the late 90's my mother came to Virginia and helped me set up. It was wonderful having that time with my mom and having her support in my new adventure. It seemed "right" - after all, she was the person who had given me my first scrapbook many years before.

My mother spent what seemed like a lifetime writing family history stories but, not in the form the modern scrapbook industry suggested. I was excited that she not only supported my plan to start a business, she also embraced the "new scrapbooking" hobby. (One of my mom's scrapbook pages shown below.)

Why does it seem that all the questions come to mind after a person is no longer available to answer them? I am grateful for all the stories, genealogy, and scrapbook pages my mom left with us.

This is wonderful! I wish my mother would have done something like this. It is just so special. Thank you for sharing this.

So terrific to have your Mum's support for your work and research to glean from!
