Whirling Bros Circus

On Monday we went to the circus at the local fair grounds in Hillsboro, MO.  Our son and his family came along too.  I thought these would be perfect pictures for MMDT Challenge #17. Only one problem - I had too many pictures to choose from. The layout is three pages long and the fourth one is on my dining room table almost completed. The Whirling Brothers Circus had camels, a white tiger (involved in a magic act),  Cossak Warriors on horseback, motorcycle Nitro Cowboys doing extreme air stunts, Alex the clown on trampoline, juggling, extreme hula-hoops,  aerial hoop and rope gymnastics and trapeze acts. Very nice for a local circus! We had ring side seats, but it was too hot to sit in the sun. It also may have been a little too close for Jackson (18mo). So we sat in the front row shaded bleachers.

Theme: Circles.  We were to use circles as part of the design.

Options: Patterned paper, circle tiles, or stitching.

I used white grid paper, cornerstone  and white circle tiles from www.snapncrop.com and small dot cardstock to embellish and alter the circle tiles.

Page 1 below: Top panoramic photos from random shots of motor cycle tricks.

The bottom right photos were audience participation shots.  They had 4 men from the audience do mime music stuff then sit on 4 chairs. They locked arms and removed all the chairs!

Below pages 1-2

The magic trick started with a girl in the cage?

The far left bottom photo is Patrick, Kim and their son Jackson. Notice the pointing tiny finger on the far right - Jackson and Grandpa : )

Hope you enjoyed the circus.

I too really like the photos of the jumps across the page. And that little guy is just ADORABLE! I love the polka dot patterned paper you used on the circle tiles, and for the strips on page 2. I also really like the way you double mounted that photo of the family! Nice job, Julie.

Very Nice Julie! Thank you for taking me along!!! It looks like alot of fun! I really like the conerstone you used with the circles in it, clever idea! The orange, blue and polka dot paper work very well and adds to the fun of this layout!

What great photos to use on a circle page! It is really cool to see the circles in the photos as well as the layout,

Love how you used multiple shots cut into strips to create the motorcycle jump! The circle mats in dots are great and the title really stands out. Fabulous pages. :)

Little pointing fingers...always follow them because they often see what we don't and the sheer enjoyment at their discovery is wonderful to see! I LOVE the motorcycle jump that you've covered over both pages. Your patterned paper with the tiny colorful dots echos the circus theme, too! Great Job, Julie.
