MMDT Challenge #3 Under the Tree

Hi everyone! The first challenge for February was to use the February Feature Grid Paper: BRICK along with page pattern #37. Additionally, we were to use a free download from www.snapncrop.com, PaperTiles or a CornerstoneDate.

When I saw how brilliantly red the brick paper is, it screamed Christmas to me. So I printed out some of my favorite moments from this past season and partnered them with some Basic Grey patterned paper (Eskimo Kisses) and light blue PaperTiles, and off I went!

I had so much fun scrapping these pages! It was the first layout I completed on my trip to MI to Gotta-Scrap Inn, where I was treated like royaty thanks to my Design Team status! Gotta-Scrap Inn is where I first discovered Mosaic Moments 3 years ago on the same trip with my friends, who coincidentally, are all the ladies on page 1 of my layout!

Unfortunately, I forgot to take process shots while I was there, so I only have the finished product to show you.

Thanks for stopping by!

Heather

I especially like the tree. I am continuously amazed at just how well embellishments work on these pages. Love it.

Lovely retro feel Heather! The Brick grid color adds so much to the ornament patterned paper you've used. The photos are terrific! How great to be able to spend the day with good friends! Glad you enjoyed the trip!

I love your color choices for the squares and patterned paper - complements everything really nicely! Looks like everyone had a great time including the animals!

Lori - I had the same thought. Heather I am so jealous of your trip to Gotta Scrap Inn. My friend Donna and I have talked about doing the same thing. Anyway, I love your layout. The light green title on the second page is very sweet. Good job!

Sounds like a fun retreat! Like the Christmas font and the hamster and dogs are adorable. Your patterned paper brings out the red in grid. Also, like the photos of santa and the beautiful doll :)

I love the photos and your Christmas Font too. I also used Christmas photos for my pages as well, but my page ended up looking more Valentine- ish. Great job with the extra embellishments!!!

Creating a mirror image of the pattern for the second page was a great idea. It worked out very nicely. Your "Christmas" title is lovely. Your friends look like a lot of fun to hang out with! :)

Nice layout! And how fun to include your "gang"! Gave me a thought...it would be so much fun to have a MM Design Team retreat! What fun to meet everyone in person! I know that there are a few of us that are relatively close....:) Anyway, really nice job, Heather!
