Zoom Zoom BOOM BOOM!

BEFORE:

It's been a week since Libby and her little Mazda 3 (zoom zoom) were in a car accident. Libby and two of her friends  were heading into Akron last Friday night on the highway. It was rush hour and as usual traffic had slowed due to a fender bender. Most of the traffic that is. They were rear ended by a car that hadn't noticed the traffic had stopped and shot them across three lanes slamming into the concrete divider. None of the girls injuries were life threatening, mostly brusies from seatbelts and neck and back aches from being hit in the back and then the front. Car parts and glass were struen across three lanes bringing traffic to a halt.

It's been a real process working to get things handled this week. Finally after many phone tag sessions, we found out tonight that they have totalled the car. Bitter sweet news. She loved the car she'd only had since August of last year. Now the looking begins again. Buy another Mazda? This one kept them all safe, or put her in a tank? With used cars it is hard to find the right combo of miles, year and price...but I guess that is where we are at now.

We are go grateful the girls were not seriously hurt. Everything else will be managable in time. We have been blessed.

So right Sarah! The temptation to bubble wrap and Kevlar her is pretty strong at the moment! Thanks all for your well wishes.

So glad to hear that the girls are safe. Zoom zoom can be replaced with a new and improved model but the girls are irreplacable. Thanks for sharing your story

I Need that Yikes button! - Glad they were not seriously injured. I hope you have great luck finding just the right replacement vehicle - or tank. :)
