Pinocchio in Florence

Who knew that the creator of Pinocchio was born in Florence? Since my husband liked Pinocchio when he was a child, his first Father's Day present after our daughter was born was a Disney cel of Pinocchio. We are not obsessed with Pinocchio or any Disney character for that matter and have not even taken a trip to Disney with our kids, but when I saw all the Pinocchios in the gift shops and all the tributes to his creator in Florence, I knew it would be a scrapbook page! Now to just get my husband to stand next to Pinocchio! At first he said no, but I am very persistant! Needless to say, he stood next to Pinocchio for a quick picture and, as I mentioned in other journal entries, I always take photos of ambulances wherever we are as he is a very dedicated voluteer Emergency Medical Technician.
