Back Road Journeys

I can hardly believe it's been two months since I've written. Not sure what my problem is lately, but writing along with my other crafty pursuits has suffered lately.  I guess it's just one of my usual mood swings that leads me to other things and will eventually lead me back. With that being said, I really need to get back on track. I have so many things to write and scrapbook about, cards to make, and many knitting projects lined up and waiting for me!

My friends and co-workers are still urging me to start a blog. I feel like my life is ordinary and who would care, but some days I realize it might not be as ordinary as I think.  After posting pictures to facebook about two days last week, I was told that  I do fun things and go to neat places. I spent one day on a day trip with my parents and another day hiking with my husband. If I were to start a blog, I could include my crafts, photography, writing, faith, music, and other things that I enjoy.

Last evening after taking a drive to a nearby weekly farmer's market, I realized that I had taken some nice pictures along Mountain Road. Perhaps the blog could be something about back road journeys.  I'm starting to like this idea.

When I started with Journella, I thought it might be a good place for me to see if I could and would follow through. Obviously, it's been a while since I've written, but with a firm idea instead of a random thought, I just might be able to do this.

More will follow as I plan further on this idea. For now, I'll share a few pictures taken along Mountain Road.

I love touring back roads; those not normally traveled! My husband and I have done that in the past - we really need to do some more driving, picture-taking, etc. I, too, started Journella with the intention of writing more often - I have a hand-written journal and have put a couple of entries from that...but keeping up with a hand-written journal AND the one online...well, gotta fit it in somehow! When we do think about some of the things we do, our lives don't seem that "boring" or "ordinary" as we might think! Keep up the journaling, the back road traveling, and the sharing!!!

I love old falling down barns and buildings. They are a great subject matter to photograph or paint. Very nice work!

These are beautiful Cindy! Touring the back roads was a tradition in my family all my life. My father loved driving to fine where a road goes and sometimes it took us ot strange places. One time we ended up in a farmer's field and another we found a "short cut" between two roads on a very seldom used seasonal road. Even though my family is gone now, I find myself still needing to find where that unknown road leads to.
