My Pets

For our second February challenge, we used Mosaic Moments pattern 19 and lotus paper. I thought this would be the perfect layout to show off the family pets. I only have one good picture of my 2 cats (have you ever tried taking a picture of 2 cats together??) and chose to use this tired sad faced photo of my dog. Instead of using duplicate pictures of each pet, I decided to journal in the bigger spot on the left side, sharing something about each pet. That left the remaining 4x4 square. I originally thought I'd use a Mosaic Moments free download as the an additonal element that this challenge called for. But this red and white polka dot paper kept catching my eye. Since all 3 pets names start with the letter "M", I used my Slice machine to die cut a 3" M and a 3 1/2" scalloped edge square which was another of the elements listed. I also knew I wanted to add paw prints and was lucky enough to find red and blue paw print stickers that fit in with the color pallete that I had already chosen.

Nice layout Beth, like the colors, photos and die cuts "it's a dog's life". With all those "M" words I'd be calling the wrong names.

This is a pet lovers delight. It was put together with great creativity.

Beth: I would best describe this page as "striking"! I really like all of it, especially the journaling. If your wonderful pets could read, they would be thrilled--maybe you should read it to them! I only wish I could see this one "in person," because I'll bet the color scheme is very pleasing.

Your embellishments are perfect for this page. I especially like the "I don't fetch" beside the yarn!

When you have pets they are such a big part of your life, so nice to focus on them once and a while! This really shows off the layout well! and seriously...the cats stayed still together long enough to get that perfect shot?!!! great!
