Gateway Arch - St Louis

While we were in St. Louis area we decided to go to the Gateway Arch. It was an interesting experience - probably similar to venturing into most monuments.

The wait was long, the arrival was a bit anti-climatic. We are glad we did it - but, I think we will be happy to make this a "once in a life time" experince.

The arch is beautiful and somewhat massive. I remember seeing it as a child, but from a distance as we traveled through St. Louis. Thank you for sharing this.

That's where I received my first kiss from my husband to be in 1981 at the top of the arch!

Tami, getting into those tight cars to travel up to the top was a challenge for me 9don't like small places...and it was a hot day!) DId you visit the Westward Expansion Museum below? That's one of my favorite museums in the country! ~andrea fisher~

The top was very small and cramped. There was also construction going on when we were there.
