MMDT Challenge #12

Finally getting caught up. Sorry for the delay the end of June and beginning of July are crazy here. Our 2nd challenge for June was an alphabet challenge. I had my idea all laid out and knew exactly what I wanted to do, however getting my subjects to cooperate was another story. Add in end of school, tourist season & a 40th birthday bash into the mix and well I had to regroup and go to plan B.

This page actually features photos from our 40th birthday bash (my husband turned 40 on June 21st & I on July 8th). Joe plays the drums with a group of buddies and they decided to play during the party it was a blast! The singer was a guest at the party who joined in! So far "40 Rocks". The one thing I didn't do was take a lot of photos from the party so for now this is a one page layout but once I receive more photos it will be 2 or more.

I love the letters in an ecclectic mix. The colors are bold and big just like the letters. I am looking forward to seeing more photos from the party. Happy 40th to you both.

Didn't I hear that 50 is the new 40? Or maybe it's 60? Regardless, this is a great layout celebrating a perfect time. the colors work; the images work; and the intent is clear. Thanks for sharing.

What struck me was the fact that your husband's name is Joe and so is mine...and we have a recording studio in our basement! Joe plays guitar, but there is a full drum set down there...along with an organ, keyboards, miscellaneous guitars, and the equipment! LOL! It continually amazes me how many commonalities we have within this group, even though we are all different! Anyway, about the layout! The letters really do pop out and look great! And those little bits of colored paper work wonderfully! Sounds like a fun time and Happy Belated Birthday! :)
