MMDT 13 -- AT HOME OR AWAY

Our theme, “My Spot on the Big Blue Marble”, led me to several different conclusions. The first is that while I may have few shoes in my closet (three pair), I have a variety of footprints in my spot – ministry, household, children & grandchildren, business, etc. I’ve been working frantically to get my workroom under control, but that seems to be an ongoing battle so photos there didn’t make the cut. My country-style kitchen didn’t make the cut either since it is serving as a temporary storeroom. I’ll have more room in there after my daughter moves into her new home. I’ll be giving her the china, crystal and silver that were my mother’s and grandmother’s. I’d rather she enjoy them while I’m alive and I’m not prone to that level of entertaining anymore. That said, I decided to focus on the spot I’ve created to serve the scrapbooking and cardmaking community. On the left, I have random shots of my newly reorganized shop/studio in what one may loosely be called a “living room.” On the right are some shots of our shop on wheels – in this case we’re at our first Heirloom Productions show in West Springfield, MA.  It’s my husband’s first show as well, so I had to order a chair where he could sit and be above the cash register. I’m now getting ready for our next show in two weeks – Stamp, Scrap & Art Tour in Pittsburgh,  PA. My lists are our “home” shows on the left and our “away” schedule on the right.

Diane the colors look great together! Wish I could have seen each spot close up to get the full picture of your spot :) You have a lot to take care of! How do you do that with three pairs of shoes...LOL! Congrats and good luck with your first road trip sales. I'm sure you'll do great.

I like your color combination. The bold title gives a nice insight to the subject. It sounds like you will be very busy Diane. Good luck with the conventions and the travel.

Oh. My. Diane! What a lot to keep organized! Your spots home and away look so similar. To think you can pack it all up and go. You seem to have your feet firmly planted in the world of creativity! Love the color scheme too! ;)

WOW! Looks like you have a lot of things VERY organized! Congrats on the shows...I would have liked to see the lists of where you're going! The colors on your page work well with the spring green, and I like the double matting of your photos. They look really nice. And, you did a really good job cutting your photos into the one inch squares. I SO can relate to your scrapbook room being out of control...hence the reason I cropped the photo of mine down so much!! LOL! Thought maybe I should have taken Andrea's idea to photograph in black and white...may not have looked quite so messy! Anyway, really nice job. I enjoyed this. Hugs!
