GO GREEN 2013

MM Challenge #10 was a photo challenge. We were to choose a color and let is inspire the photos we take. My favorite color is green, lime green to be specific.

The photos I took were of the new colors of spring. Page 1 photos were taken at Table Rock Lake. I even included my "green deer" photo. It is a pretty photo with poor color.

Why did I choose the color? Obviously my favorite color. Green seems to be everywhere. Page 2 below photos were taken on my deck and back yard.

How does the color make me feel?

What does that color make you think about? Lots of things! My favorite Snoopy sweatshirt as a child was green. I'm attracted to green paper and embellishments. If you're feeling sick - green is not good. The color green in a home is calming and cool. Green means go!

The embellishment above is called iris folding - it's fun and easy.

I just love watching the hummingbirds and my red ear water turtles.

Supplies used white and black mosaic grid papers. Free download from snap n crop alaphabet and numbers.  Cricut recycle logo Give a Hoot cartridge.

That iris folding is a real eye catcher. It doesn't look easy though. The crossword tiles are cool. I really like this layout. I really like how you listed all things green.

LOVE your layout! I've never seen Iris folding before...it looks hard! I love your photos, and especially your crossword titling! Very nicely done!!

I love to iris fold and never thought about putting it into a mosaic! Thanks for the inspiration!

Ditto on the iris folding. Your forest panorama displays well. Your love of nature is evident in your color choice and execution. Thanks.

The Iris folding is lovely. (Ditto Andrea's comments.) I like how you intergrated the "crossword" look too. :)

The iris folding is SO beautiful Julie! A perfect application for the circle frame too. I really like the crossword page pattern for including your "Green thoughts" too. I think the lime green on black with the double mats in black gives a stunning look to the page. Looks so peaceful from your deck!
