Granny's 90th Birthday- anything, but boring!

Granny's 90th Birthday party... My aunt Donna planned, prepared, and delegated tasks. I was delegated the role of picture taker. Let me say this clearly- I am not a photographer. I love taking photos, but feel a bit overwhelmed with a task as important as capturing a 90th birthday party.

Several days before my grandmother's birthday, my sister-in-law and I decided to take an overnight trip to Las Vegas. We attended 2 hypnosis shows, where we were both hypnotized. Super fun!!! After you read the number 3 (in one moment), you will have a sudden urge to see the hypnotist, Marc Savard, in Las Vegas. Additionally, you will have the overwhelming need to cheer this story as "love it." Ready... 1.... 2.... 3. (snap of my fingers).

Now, we returned from our 24 hour trip around 7 pm the evening before my grandmother's party. As I slept, my subconscious must have been working on overdrive because at approximately 3 am, I awoke in a panic trying to sort out what my plan was for the party photos. I did NOT want boring photos.

After sleeping for the next few hours, I woke up and had it! I immediately printed some smiles, lips, and mustaches. My husband had the pleasure of cutting these out for me. I love him! I then went into the kids' dress up bin and collected more items. I emptied the contents from a few frames from our walls at home and I was ready!!

Here is a preview picture of my granny:

So one person / family at a time, I began taking silly photos and having some fun! Yes, this did entertain me!!

For this assignment, we were asked to use the mosaic moments "blue moon" paper that can be found at snapncrop.com. I began this assignment several times, but ended up deciding to use this paper for this event because I LOVE bright paper and bright scrapbook pages as well.

So here it is... my first page:

My family is on the left side and my brother's family is the silly family on the right.

Here is my page:

Notice: There is a blank space at the bottom left for a photo that I do not have yet. My sister, Jami, lives in Missouri and wasn't able to make it to the party. Sooooooo... as soon as she gets me a photo, I will be able to finish this layout properly. Hurry sis!!!

Here is the final look of both pages together:

Now, having created these pages using families... I will include a few of my favorite photos here as well. Just for fun!

Enjoy & thanks for stopping by!

My nephew Kai:

My sisters Kati and Christy pretending to be mom and dad:

A few members of the Price family I haven't seen recently:

My dad and his step-brother, Bob. Identical, right?!?!:

AND MY ALL TIME FAVORITE... My brother and I:

Again, thanks for stopping by!
