MMDT Challenge #5

Our 1st challenge for March was to use the beautiful bamboo grid paper and pattern 52.  As I am such a fan of double page layouts I mirrored the pattern for the 2nd page.  My extra element was patterned paper which I used to mat the two larger photos as well as the title strip.  My title was made using the Mickey Font on my Cricut and the patterned paper came from Creative Memories.  I apologize for no process shots but this and a few other pages were made at a weekend crop and I was in the zone and totally forgot to take pictures.  Some of my cropping for this post is a bit rough, but my computer whiz was not available so I had to try my hand at photo editing (needless to say someone will be teaching his mamma very soon how to use his photo editing software).

I promise not all of my pages will be Disney themed, but these photos just worked so well with this paper.  One of my favorite attractions at Disney is The Haunted Mansion - and during our last trip the exterior had just had a fun makeover!  I just LOVED the horseless carriage (if you look at the right angle the reflection on the glass makes it look like there are people inside) and the new bathtub shrine of Captain Clyde squirts water from it's barnacles.

I hope you enjoy my post.

The color and the imagery work together well. This is great.

I love the Haunted House and this layout is just a great reminder. Our younger son was not sure he wanted to go in; then years later our elder grandson thought it was cool; still later, the younger grandson wouldn't go near it! So many memories...

Tonnya, I really loved this layout! It's very nice. I am a Disney fanatic-so I could never see too many Disney layouts!!! The photos go very well with the Bamboo color~ funny how that happens, huh?! What I love most about this layout is there are no people in it. I like photos of people, but sometimes it's nice to do a layout without them! This is really nice. Thanks for sharing!

Love love love!!!! Love haunted houses and remember going to this one as a 4 year old! It had a cart that went through and when it spun you around to face the mirror, you could see a ghost in the cart next to you. That's the memory your layout evoked for me. So fun! I agree wth Andrea...I love the patterned paper as your matting. Love the photos too! Excellent job!

This layout really brings back memories. I love the Hunted Mansion at Disney. I like the way you did your title over the patterned paper and then you used the paper as a mat for just a couple of pictures.

Tonnya, a nice use of the patterned paper as a mat and as the background for the title. Love how your title spans both pages tying everything together! The double layout gave you lots of spots for photos to highlight the many aspects of this favorite spot that you enjoy!

Tonnya, enjoyed this layout. I have not been to this part of Disney World. Fun photos, nice matting on title that matches the two larger photos. I too am trying to learn photoshop :/
