MMDT 2013 #4

When we first got this challenge I was very excited.  There are so many great Disney movies!  But when I looked at my wedding photos, I knew INSTANTLY what I would do for this challenge!  Cinderella!!   That is totally how I felt on that day!

I went to the spa to have my hair and make-up done at 9:30 am.  My photographer was already there, waiting.  I arrived showered and with my hair washed....and that was it!  As you can see by the first photo, I looked like a drowned rat!!  Through drying and curling, and pinning....and pinning...and pinning (I ended up with about 80 pins in my hair!), and then make-up, I gradually "transformed".

By the time it was just before noon and I was ready to go down to the gazebo, I truly felt like Cinderella.  I married my "Prince Charming" that day, and totally plan to live "happily ever after"!

With regards to the layout...I used BLUE grid paper with white paper tiles, the sticker and chipboard pieces are from Sandylion Disney series, (with a bit of a light blue cardstock I had backing the white),

and the words and blue hearts are from the Cricut "Happily Ever After" cartridge.

One of my favorite photos was the one of me looking in the mirror.  As I didn't have quite enough room for the full photo, I cut it into two pieces and added a heart in the corner.

This was a fun and somewhat emotional layout to make!  When Joe (Prince Charming!) came down into my scrapbooking room to look at it, I actually started crying! Happy tears, of course! :)    Our "ever after" has just begun!

I adore this layout and everything you've done with it. I get the impression of a vivid pastel -- from the vaults of Disney. How long have you been married? I especially like the white as your mat. It gives it a sharp, pristine look. Great job.

Lori - Your design is so heartwarming and sweet. The colors are perfect. I love the title design. The photos you chose are perfect and I love the hairdo, pins and all. Cutting the photo of you looking in the mirror was very clever and it works. Very beautiful!

Cinderella seems to be the perfect inspiration for a girl who is getting ready for a big event. You were a lovely bride. :)

Oh Lori,I've been waiting to see this layout! So excited to see your wedding photos and the whole transformation! Love the split photo, I didn't notice it at first but it was a great solution for working in the space. The Blue Grid is the perfect color to carry the Cinderella theme, the white paper tile mats add to the crispness of the white wedding gown. Congratulations once again! A very nice job indeed!
