MMDT Challenge #4

I have always been a fan of Winnie the Pooh. When I was little, Pooh was merely entertainment or something on my jammies. But as an adult, I have come to love Pooh's philosophy. The whole world could end and Pooh would simply say, "Oh bother."

Pooh's views on friendship inspired this page.

For the journaling, I wrote about the wonderful friendship my husband and I share.

I split the journaling to help the eye travel from corner to corner.

Here's the entire page ...

This challenge was to be inspired by a Disney movie. Although inspired by Disney's version of "Winnie the Pooh," I used some classic Pooh patterned paper and matched my colors to that ... brown grid paper and Light Pretty Pink Paper Tiles.

The title, cut from another sheet of grid paper and one of the larger Paper Tiles, uses the Disney Pooh font from Cricut.

The little honeybee brads, because bees are always near Pooh, are from Eyelet Outlet.

In this case, less is more. With your single photo as your focus, you've conveyed a warm, fuzzy feeling that is augmented by your story. What a perfect marriage of visuals and journals. Good job.

Very special layout, Candy! The journaling was very touching, and the colors and embellishments, along with the Pooh font and patterned paper, tied it all together perfectly. I really enjoyed this! Thanks for sharing!

Pooh and piglet are so charming and I am glad you chose them for your theme. The story is great about the friendship you have with your husband. I agree that friendship is the key to a great marriage or relationship. The colors you chose even give it a soft and romantic feeling. Good job.

I too, prefer classic Pooh...those softer colors and watercolor feel...you made a good choice on paper colors and could you get a more perfect font for the title? Oh, and the bees!!! you didn't forget the bees! Your story of the importance of your friendship to your successful marriage makes Winnie the Pooh the perfect inspiration!
