One "Home Made Holiday" coming up

I've been looking at projects and pinning them on my pinterest boards to prepare for the coming holidays. I have been making progress toward my goal. Recently I:

1. Made a Halloween Wreath from orange burlap.

2. Started on a Countdown to Christmas board.

Clothes pins
First I painted the clothes pins red or white.

Then I covered the front of each clothes pin with cute Christmas paper from my scrapbook stash. (I cut the paper strips on my Mosaic Moments Mat - 3/8 inch wide - a perfect fit.)

(I still need to cut the title - "Counting Down to Christmas Day," and glue everything to the 3 ft board that I painted white about a week ago. Then the "real" work begins - making all the countdown surprises!)

3. Made wax dipped pine-cones - pretty fire starters that you can sit in a pretty basket next to the fireplace. (A Christmas gift for a friend.)

That countdown is unique! Can't wait to see it finished. I have a huge pine in the neighbors yard that 'gifts' me with plenty of pinecones....but no fireplace to burn them in!
