Eggs 2 Dye 4

In reviewing my pictures to see what would work with our challenge this month - scarlett paper, I found two sets of photos that could work. One was of a baseball game and one was of my grandkids making Easter eggs. There were red Solo cups that would look good against that scarlett paper. So eggs it was!

I decided to use an idea from one of my fellow design team members and make it appear there were hundreds of cups on the table. For the most part it was successful. I did find that I had focused a little too much on the cups and ended up cutting my granddaughter's face right in the middle - but I was too far along, and had no additional photos to replace it!  I figure sometimes it's good to post a mistake so others can learn from it too....

In keeping with the rule to only use one-inch squares for this challenge, I made letters on one inch white squares and used various colors of ink to color them to look like colors you might dye eggs.  I then stamped Easter eggs on one inch squares and colored them and added a little bling by adding gold Stickles.

The solo cups and scarlett paper are a perfect combination. The stamped eggs are adorable and colorful. I really enjoy the lettering technique. The entire page all comes together. Thanx 4 Sharing!

Clever title, Nancy, and a great idea to "dye" your title blocks as well! Looks like they are having a ball! I think you were successful at making it appear that there are hundreds of cups on the tables, good job!

All those cups create a neat effect on the page.
